In this issue of <em>Innovatus<\/em>, I am excited to share some of the ways in which we are prioritizing excellence in teaching and learning in the Faculty of Science.&nbsp;<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"alignright size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"324\" height=\"324\" src=\"https:\/\/www.yorku.ca\/yfile\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/889\/2025\/03\/Rui-Wang4Cropped-edited.jpg\" alt=\"Rui Wang\" class=\"wp-image-373894\" style=\"width:239px;height:auto\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.yorku.ca\/yfile\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/889\/2025\/03\/Rui-Wang4Cropped-edited.jpg 324w, https:\/\/www.yorku.ca\/yfile\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/889\/2025\/03\/Rui-Wang4Cropped-edited-150x150.jpg 150w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 324px) 100vw, 324px\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Rui Wang<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p>Our Faculty has been working hard to expand co-op opportunities for our students so they graduate with real-world experience. For instance, we have launched an innovative work-integrated learning program open to all science students that has doubled its intake each year.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Our instructors are enhancing student learning and experience by introducing new technologies and methods of teaching, such as using virtual reality to augment students\u2019 understanding of concepts and creating podcasts to increase the accessibility of course content.
