Every September,&nbsp;<em>YFile&nbsp;<\/em>introduces and welcomes those joining the 快播视频 community.<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.yorku.ca\/markham\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Markham Campus<\/a> welcomes one new full-time, permanent members this fall.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re pleased to have Professor<strong> Sarah Zipp<\/strong> leading sport management here at 快播视频\u2019s Markham Campus,\u201d says <strong>Dan Palermo<\/strong>, deputy provost, Markham Campus. \u201cShe bring a strong expertise in exploring how sport connects to society and sustainability. As our campus grows, her teaching and research will play a big part in building a vibrant, forward-looking community for our students.\u201d\u202f\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Sarah Zipp<\/h4>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"alignright size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"549\" height=\"558\" src=\"https:\/\/www.yorku.ca\/yfile\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/889\/2025\/08\/image-1.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-398448\" style=\"width:218px\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.yorku.ca\/yfile\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/889\/2025\/08\/image-1.png 549w, https:\/\/www.yorku.ca\/yfile\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/889\/2025\/08\/image-1-394x400.png 394w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 549px) 100vw, 549px\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Sarah Zipp<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p>Zipp is the newly appointed associate professor and program coordinator for Sport Management at 快播视频. Zipp has taught at universities in the U.K., U.S., Netherlands, Singapore and Japan, bringing a global perspective to York. Her work explores sport for social good, gender equality, globalization, sport policy and social issues in sport.\u202f\u202f&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Zipp has published numerous journal articles, book chapters, reports and news articles. She has served as a consultant to Nike and is currently an advisor for the Global Observatory for Gender Equality in Sport (Switzerland). She was named the Early Career Researcher of the Year (2020) by the <em>Journal of Sport for Development<\/em>. She is also the founder of the Power to Play Period, a project on menstrual health education in sport. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Zipp earned her PhD in international development at Erasmus University (Netherlands).
