To clearly indicate that it's a test, the word \u201ctest\u201d will precede the alert on all devices. In case of a real emergency, the test will be cancelled and the community will be notified.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Testing the emergency notification system may cause anxiety or stress for some members of our campus community. Those experiencing difficulties or need support can visit resources available at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.yorku.ca\/well-being\/resources\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Well-being at York<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Download the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.yorku.ca\/safety\/app\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">快播视频 Safety App<\/a> to ensure receipt of timely and important community safety notices.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>FAQ<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Why is York testing the emergency notification system?<\/strong>&nbsp;<br>York tests its emergency notification system biannually to ensure all community members know how they will be notified in the event of an emergency situation. This test will also confirm functionality of all components of the system as part of regular emergency preparedness activities.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>How long will the test last?<\/strong>&nbsp;<br>The test is scheduled to last for approximately 10 to 15 minutes. It is important to note that while efforts will be made to ensure the test runs on schedule, there may be slight variations to the anticipated timing.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Will the test take place at all of York\u2019s campuses?<\/strong>&nbsp;<br>Email and 快播视频 Safety App notification will occur for community members across all campuses. Testing of the public address system and digital messaging screens will take place on Keele, Glendon and Markham campuses.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Will the public address system be heard in
