Fifteen years after stepping off York's convocation stage with a psychology degree in hand, Lilly Singh<\/strong> returned to the University \u2013 this time, to receive an honorary degree and inspire the Faculty of Health<\/a>\u2019s Class of 2025. <\/h3>\n\n\n\n

A pop culture trailblazer, Singh has evolved from digital creator to film and television star while earning recognition for her creative leadership and advocacy for girls worldwide. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cLilly\u2019s career encapsulates the values of 快播视频\u2019s mission,\u201d said Faculty of Health Dean David Peters <\/strong>during the Oct. 14 Fall Convocation ceremony. \u201cShe uses comedy to break down stereotypes about women, sexuality and more, and is an advocate for gender equity.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In a heartfelt and candid address, Singh reminded graduands that life rarely follows a straight path \u2013 and that\u2019s perfectly okay. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Delivered with her unique brand of humour, personal reflections and encouragement, the award-winning entertainer encouraged graduands to embrace change \u2013 and failure \u2013 as they move into the next chapter of their lives. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cLet me reassure you,\u201d she said, \u201chaving it all figured out is a false narrative. It\u2019s a myth.\u201d  <\/p>\n\n\n
