Deepana Devadas is a barrister and solicitor, strategic creative, and community builder whose work is deeply rooted in advocacy. Her career journey spans marketing, business development, and corporate and commercial law, with experience at leading organizations such as Mercedes-Benz Financial Services, the Royal Bank of Canada, in startups, and in private practice focusing on civil litigation and family law. Grounded in the honour of preserving Tamil heritage and culture, she has contributed her leadership to organizations serving on boards and advancing initiatives with the Tamil Community Centre, the Canadian Tamil Professionals Association, and the Tamil Bar Association, A dancer, writer, and digital storyteller, she uses creativity and advocacy to inspire change and build spaces of belonging—merging strategy with storytelling to promote body positivity, redefine beauty standards, and create authentic representation, especially for women of colour.Â
