The Scholars’ Hub @ Home speaker series features discussions on a broad range of topics, with engaging lectures from some of York’s best minds. The Scholars’ Hub events are done in partnership with Vaughan Public Libraries, Markham Public Library, and Aurora Public Library. This discussion will show how weekly community dance classes slow down motor symptoms over a three-year period, cognition is improved over six-years, and speech sample measures are not affected over five-years. In addition, we will show the associated neural network brain changes as a function of learning choreography in these people with Parkinson's disease.
