Intern

LaToya Hinds (she/her) is a second-year health studies student with a minor in professional writing at ¿ì²¥ÊÓƵ. She will be curating the Dahdaleh Institute’s weekly newsletter and helping to write and edit a new Institute publication under the direction of Shana Shubs.
Passionate about medicine and telling the health stories of Canadians, LaToya volunteers her time connecting with people in the BIPOC population to deepen her understanding of their social and cultural experiences and then share this understanding with health organizations in Ontario. She aims to help strengthen the bonds between groups to create equitable standards in health policy and medical practice.
In her spare time she enjoys yoga, art galleries, and thrift shopping for vinyl records.
