Dr. Sebastian Ken-Amoah is a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist and Senior Lecturer in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, School of Medical Sciences, University of Cape Coast (UCC), Ghana. He also serves as a clinician-educator at the Cape Coast Teaching Hospital (CCTH) and is a Fellow of the Ghana College of Surgeons (FGCS).

He began his career in the Ghana Health Service, serving as a Medical Officer and later a Senior Specialist for over a decade. During this period, he contributed significantly to maternal and reproductive healthcare. Upon transitioning to academia, he played a key role in establishing the postgraduate residency training programme in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at CCTH to address the growing need for specialist care. He has consistently championed institutional capacity-building through clinical mentorship, medical education, and research supervision at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

Dr. Ken-Amoah鈥檚 research interests span cervical cancer prevention, women鈥檚 health, and quality assurance in healthcare delivery. More recently, he has begun exploring global health governance and the impact of resource insecurity on vulnerable populations. He has authored over 30 peer-reviewed publications and participated in numerous collaborative research initiatives. He is a co-recipient of major grants, including the German Research Foundation (DFG) award under the African-German Scientific Collaboration in Public Health and the United States National Institutes of Health (NIH) grant focused on innovative approaches to cervical cancer prevention in low-resource settings.

He has held leadership positions including Head of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at UCC and Lead Clinician on the Maternal Health sub-Business Management Committee at CCTH. He currently coordinates the Oncology and Palliative Care module at the School of Medical Sciences and remains actively engaged in training and research to enhance cervical cancer prevention and maternal health outcomes.

Dr. Ken-Amoah holds professional memberships in the Ghana Medical Association (GMA), the Society of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists of Ghana (SOGOG), the International Papillomavirus Society (IPVS), and the World Association of Laparoscopic Surgeons (WALS).

Radhika Jain recently graduated with an Honours Bachelor of Science in Global Health, specializing in Policy, Management, and Systems. She currently serves as the inaugural Global Health Alumni Coordinator, collaborating with Dr. Godfred Boateng to strengthen connections within 快播视频's Global Health Alumni community. In this role, she leads a team dedicated to establishing a sustainable Global Health Network for 快播视频's Global Health community. Her passion for policy and program evaluation stems from her experience as a research intern with the Euro Health Group in Denmark and her (policy & program-related) role in her local community's health centre's committee.

As a research associate at the Dahdaleh Institute for Global Health Research and the Global and Environmental Health Lab, Radhika will work with Dr. Boateng on the "Resource insecurity, health and Sustainable Livelihoods" project. Her main focus will be to explore the impact of sleeping disorders on psychosocial health outcomes (mental health conditions) for those impacted while examining the overlooked link between housing insecurity and mental health conditions in lower-income countries in Sub-Saharan Africa. She will be looking specifically at Kenya's HIV and AIDs impacted population and what can be done to improve the gaps that are present.

Taslima has joined as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the School of Global Health at 快播视频. She will be working on GEH lab research projects focused on Household Energy Insecurity and its impact on physical and mental health in Low- and middle-income countries (LMICs). She holds a doctoral degree in Health Sciences from 快播视频, where she led a multimethod project on barriers to referral and access to Heart Function Clinics in Canada. Her project was supported by multiple prestigious Ontario Graduate Scholarships and the Ted Rogers Centre Education Fund. As an International Medical Graduate (IMG), Taslima has managed various Global Health research projects on childhood malnutrition, diarrheal diseases, vaccine research, and cardiovascular health. She is deeply committed to enhancing the quality of life and dedicated to ensuring inclusivity, diversity, equity, and accessibility (IDEA) for marginalized populations and people with lived experiences (PWLE) living in LMICs through utilizing an interdisciplinary approach. Lastly, Taslima has a strong passion for teaching and finds it immensely rewarding to see students grow, gain confidence, and make a positive impact in their real lives.

Ailiya Rizwan is an Honors Biomedical Science student with a minor in Global Health. She volunteers at Hospice Vaughan, providing comfort to end-of-life patients and their bereaved families. As the two-time elected President of Women in White Coats at YorkU, she addresses the underrepresentation of women in STEM by offering mentorship, learning opportunities, and a website with free academic, mental health, & professional resources. She co-organized YorkU鈥檚 first, no-fee Wrapping & Taping workshop series and a cross-faculty Med-Tech Case Competition focused on creating a diabetes diagnostic algorithm, attracting over 100 participants and professionals. She is an aspiring physician & a passionate social advocate who strives for health equity through an interdisciplinary lens of social determinants.

Currently, Ailiya is a Global Health intern under the mentorship of Dr. Godfred Boateng聽in the Global and Environmental Health Lab, where she is conducting qualitative data analysis to understand how energy insecurity manifests at the household level in low- and middle-income countries, with specific focus on the effect on women, infants and children.
