2024 - First place ECO Award by the Environmental Studies Association of Canada (ESAC)

Recipient: Community Working Group of Park Perceptions and Racialized Realities

Description: "Each year, the ECO-Award honours individuals, teams, and/or organizations who have positively contributed to the field of environmental studies in Canada through community-building, research, knowledge-to-action, and/or innovations in approaches. The ECO-Award Selection Committee considers nominees from academic, practitioner, community-based, and other backgrounds. At ESAC, ‘environmental studies’ is defined as a multidisciplinary field that investigates, educates, guides, supports, and acts upon human-environment relationships."

2024 - Barbara Godard Prize for the Best ¿ì²¥ÊÓÆµ Dissertation in Canadian Studies

Recipient: Nadha Hassen

Description: "This prize is awarded to the doctoral dissertation on a Canadian topic defended at ¿ì²¥ÊÓÆµ in the course of the calendar year that best advances our knowledge of Canada. Special attention will be given to dissertations that transcend disciplinary boundaries and demonstrate innovation in thought and/or methodology."
