Professor Gertrude Mianda has been appointed the new director of the at 快播视频. Mianda鈥檚 appointment went into effect on July 1.
Mianda is an associate professor in the Gender and Women鈥檚 Studies program at Glendon Campus. She also served as the chair of the School of Gender, Sexuality and Women鈥檚 Studies at 快播视频 from 2011-15. Mianda has a PhD in sociology in gender and development from Universit茅 Laval in Quebec City.
The Harriet Tubman Institute for Research on Africa and its Diasporas at 快播视频 is committed to the understanding of the history of slavery and its legacy. It also fosters inter- and multi-disciplinary approaches.
