On 16 April 2014, the Sewol Ferry sank in South Korea, taking with it the lives of 304 of its 476 passengers. The victims, primarily high school students, perished following instruction to remain in the cabins rather than abandon ship. South Korea鈥檚 worst maritime disaster traumatized a nation while simultaneously sinking the country鈥檚 emotional spirit. Three years later, the effects of impassioned protest and shifting political power resulted in the raising of the Sewol from the West Sea. The film 鈥淩eset鈥 asks why the rescue of our children and people was neglected on the fateful day the Sewol sank.

Tells the life story of KIM Soonak, a survivor of the "comfort women system" and so much more. After the war, she engaged in the US military camptown sex trade and worked as a maid. Weaving interviews of activists, archive footage, animation and the recital of testimonies, the film reconstructs the life stories of the late KIM Soonak.
