The USC People Services team champions a culture of equity, diversity, inclusion, teamwork, innovation, and service excellence, ensuring effective and proactive communication with University colleagues and clients.​ The team is comprised of three service areas that are committed to providing best-in-class service for clients:
The Payroll & Records team:
- Calculates, administers, and maintains employees' pay and records timely and accurately; and
- ensures compliance with rules and requirements governing pay, payroll taxes, and records management.
The Pension & Benefits team:
- Provides accurate processing and administration of the pension and benefits requests and plans in partnership with external providers;
- ensures compliance with rules and requirements with federal and provincial governing bodies; and
- provides education sessions to the employee supporting them understanding ¿ì²¥ÊÓÆµ's offerings and retirement planning.
The Recruitment & Onboarding team:
- Coordinates and administers a structured yet flexible recruitment and onboarding experience for internal clients and external applicants in a timely and professional manner;
- manages ¿ì²¥ÊÓÆµ Temporary Agency (YUTA) program and provides full support services for university's temporary hiring needs; and
- collaborates with the People Partnership team to ensure legislative compliance, maximize opportunities that will support and enhance the university's DEDI strategies.
USC People Services​ works collaboratively with Human Resources to deliver services, ensuring alignment with ¿ì²¥ÊÓÆµâ€™s human resources policies, procedures and strategies.
